NFPA Requirements for Commercial Kitchens

A Georgia Vent Works, we recommend all commercial kitchens follow the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines set forth in NFPA 96. 

A critical guideline for all commercial kitchens to follow is NFPA 96 Section 11.4 Inspection for Grease Buildup. It states, "The entire exhaust system shall be inspected for grease buildup by a properly trained, qualified, and certified company or person(s) acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction in accordance with the following table:"
